Q2. What clothes should I take off/leave on?
A2. This comes down a bit to personal preference and what kind of massage you're looking for. If you want a more relaxing massage, and you feel comfortable with it, I would recommend removing all your clothing but leaving your pants on. If you want a more treatment focused massage, I would recommend wearing a pair of shorts and leaving your bra on if you wear one. In all cases, only undress as far as YOU are comfortable.
Q3. Is there anything I should do before you arrive?
A3. Please make sure you have a space large enough for a single bed and room to walk around it available for me to set my table up in. I would also recommend turning up the thermostat and checking that the room will be warm enough for you as generally you'll be lying still for a while. My only other suggestions are lighting a scented candle to help you relax and putting on some music you enjoy.
Q4. How do I get the best massage?
A4. Communication is key! While I'm often able to feel points of tension I don't know if that sends shooting sensations somewhere else or if you feel pulling on a limb. This information is very helpful to me in tracking down underlying causes for pain and discomfort. Also if you don't like what I'm doing, let me know!
Q5. How long should I book for?
A5. This comes down to what you're looking for from your massage. If it's your first massage with me, I would recommend at least an hour. This gives me enough time to provide a full assessment. Otherwise it's completely up to you.
Q6. Should a massage hurt?
A6. If you're looking for a nice relaxing massage, probably not. Sports massages on the other hand often cause some pain, but it should be a "nice pain". Most people say that feel a deep sort of throbbing pain when I'm working through a knot, but that it isn't wholly unpleasant.
Q7. How often should I get a massage?
A7. If you are looking to deal with an issue I would recommend a series of six sessions over six weeks. Most people will usually get about one a month for six months to try and help with a point of pain and while this does keep things from getting worse, I see far better improvement with more regular sessions. If you're just looking for a de-stress once a month does it for me!
Q8. Do you do sensual/sexual massage?
Q8. No I do not. I offer professional relaxing and sports massage in your home, and I ask for the same professionalism from my clients. If you are looking for any "extra services", please go elsewhere else.
